IT STARTED WITH TWO CATS AND ONE WAKE-UP CALL.

When we realized that love also means responsibility, we began rethinking how indoor cats live, move, and explore.

Two cats, a small home, and a lot of love

We are two people in our twenties, still finishing our studies and working our first jobs. To fill our home with more love, we decided to get a cat. Not long after, we realized he needed a friend ā€” getting another cat felt natural, almost inevitable.

Suddenly, all our free time went to them. And a surprising part of our budget too: toys, treats, and anything that might make their days better. Some people might even say we were obsessed. They wouldnā€™t be wrong.

Loving them meant more than spoiling them

WAKE-UP MOMENT

At a routine yearly vet visit, we were told that one of our cats was getting overweight.

It wasnā€™t a dramatic number, but it hit hard. It was a wake-up call.

Loving our cats wasnā€™t only about toys, treats, and comfort. It was also about responsibility: keeping them healthy, active, and mentally engaged.

That moment pushed us to start reading more, paying more attention, and questioning whether we were really supporting the way indoor cats are meant to live.

Loving them meant more than spoiling them

WHY WINDOWS BECAME THE ANSWER

We didnā€™t want something that would be used for a week and then forgotten.ā€Ø We wanted to increase our catsā€™ movement, curiosity, and natural instincts.

We wanted our cats to have more daily movement in a way that felt natural. Since they were already drawn to windows, we started thinking of the window as unused territory.

But everything we found online felt wrong: questionable quality, too much plastic, and poor design. As these were our ā€œchildrenā€, everything had to be perfect.

We knew the solution had to be modular, non-permanent, and built around how cats actually move indoors ā€” not only for room aesthetics.

FROM ONE WINDOW TO FULL SYTEM

We started with a single window shelf that cats kept choosing again and againā€¦ From there, we expanded into a modular system that fits real homes.

BUILT FROM FAILURE

The first prototypes did not hold, and cats were not satisfied. So we rebuilt it from scratch. After a couple attempts we understood this is not a small DIY project.

SAFETY WAS NON-NEGOTIABLE

We eventually started working with an engineer, because if we were going to create vertical space, it had to be stiff, stable, and safe. The biggest challenge was finding reliable suction cups ā€” we went through tens of manufacturers until we found the ones that actually hold. Safety became the standard we refused to compromise on.

SAFE FIRST. BEAUTIFUL SECOND.

Only after safety and stability were solved, we started discussing how it should look in a real home. The design had to feel minimal and natural, not like plastic cat furniture.

Not decor. Not toys. A thoughtful system.

THE RESULT
